Water jetting: High & Ultra High Pressure

High Pressure Water Jetting
As one of the only New Zealand companies to have invested extensively in the industry, Interclean prides itself on the company's ability to complete projects on budget and within tight time frames. Interclean offer a wide range of High and Ultra High Pressure jetting units in configurations from 7,000 - 45,000psi (operating pressures) and discharge rates up to 300 litres per minutes.
An extensive range of associated equipment is available including: flexi lances, rotor jets, rotor fans for pipe descaling and root cutting, and flat bed mower type units for large flat surfaces. The applications of this equipment are many and diverse and coupled with vacuum recovery of discharge and waste make the units environmentally friendly. Examples such as digester cleaning, heat exchanger tube bundles, pipework servicing and tank cleaning are just a few. There are also many uses in the marine industry. It is also worth noting that Interclean has proven that by effective utilisation of Ultra High pressure water jetting (20,000psi+), performance can be increased by up to 6 times that of conventional use of 10,000psi.

Low Pressure Hot & Cold and Chemical Units
Our water jetting equipment varies from portable 3000psi cold water to 3000-5000psi hot water units. These hot water units can be used for general grease and oil type cleaning to the descaling etc. of production equipment without the fear of damage from rapid cool down i.e. calendar equipment. Auxiliary equipment for chemical application is available where applicable.

High Pressure Water jetting Units
Interclean's High Pressure Water jetting Units are truck or skid mounted and operate between 7000-14000psi. This equipment is in the traditional "shut" range and is used for petrochemical, pulp and paper, manufacturing facilities and ship cleaning. Interclean's range is from 45hp to 300hp. With our specialised plant and accessories available, Interclean can provide for enormous "fire power" in shut situations. Our accessories include 15,000psi automated tank cleaning heads and tube bundle cleaning lances with a variety of nozzles (spinning and fixed) for a range of tube sizes. Additionally exterior bundle cleaning with rotary heads and internal vessel cleaning with fixed or manual rotary heads are available. For surface cleaning, paint removal and surface descaling, 300mm to 700mm rotary heads are used. This range is also available to vacuum remove residues where applicable i.e. cleaning of ship deck areas alongside thereby eliminating the necessity for dry docking. Interclean also provides surface cleaning of vertical surfaces with the use of manual rotary heads. We have single, double or up to 6 jet operation.

Ultra High Pressure Water Jetting Units (up to 45,000psi)
Interclean has one of the broadest ranges of machines available in New Zealand. UHP Jetting is a viable and ecological alternative to abrasive blasting and is used for coating/paint removal, in a wide range of industries, including penstocks, storage tanks and shipping.
With a number of pumps up to 500 hp currently available, the pump configurations of discharge pressure, discharge rates and the method of discharge can be tailored to suit the specific jobs characteristics. Discharge rates can be as little as 4 litres/min or up to 125 litres/min, again dependant on the work specification.
Our range of automated multi jetted, vacuum heads or hand-held vacuum heads provides for total waste/discharge recovery at production rates far in excess of those previously experienced with traditional jetting lances.

Hydro Demolition
Hydro Demolition is a method for partial removal of damaged concrete with high pressure water. The water is delivered from a diesel powered high pressure pump. The typical pressure range for removal is between 15,500psi and 23,000psi. Interclean has a range of units from 150hp right up to 750hp. Traditionally this work has been carried out by the use of pneumatic (Kango) hammers. In the last 7 years or so, high pressure water has been found to have distinct advantages over the traditional pneumatic method to remove failed concrete and prepare the rebar for infilling. Less concrete is removed and there is no cracking or fissures further along from the repairs in sound concrete caused by striking the rebar with hammers.
In the last two years Interclean has, in conjunction with our German pump and accessory manufacturers, developed a concrete removal technique from using High Pressure (10,000-20,000psi) to Ultra High Pressure (30,000-40,000psi).
This enables our removal rate to increase by 50% over high pressure removal - one of our high pressure lances is equivalent to a three pneumatic hammer set up.
Interclean has two gun and four lance gun machines, up to 500hp, available in New Zealand.
