Road Maintenance

An Extensive Range of Services
Interclean has an extensive range of equipment for road maintenance.

Road Surface Rehabilitation
Interclean have a range of equipment up to 500 hp, suitable for rehabilitating road surfaces in preparation for resealing, or simply for rehabilitating the surface by removal of surface contamination/flushing etc.
Typically, our multi-jetted rotary head units (operating at pressures of 10, 20, 30 or 40k) have the ability to scarify the bitumen or concrete surfaces to provide a surface texture, suitable for resealing, and or to remove algae, lichen, bituminous sheen and contamination and provide a safer, non-slippery, surface on which motor vehicles ride. Coupled with vacuum loading, the various water jetting equipment configurations provide an environmentally friendly operation by removal of cleaning liquids and contamination simultaneously from the cleansed area.
Development of jetting and vacuum equipment with the capacity to clean a roadway up to 2.5 metres wide in one operation is currently under review.

Road Mark Removal.
Along with the traditional wet abrasive blast technique followed by road sweeping, Interclean has the ability to remove line mediums with a soft Water-jet technique. Multi-jet rotary units together with low flow provide an economically and ecologically superior alternative to less desirable historical methods. This equipment is truck mounted, containerised and super silenced, allowing for work during the night.

Bridge Cleaning and Spalling Concrete Removal.
Interclean has experience in the specialised field of concrete degradation and spalling removal by using the ultra high pressure Water-jet technique. This is now an internationally recognised alternative to mechanical methods. This water-jet technique can be achieved economically with the large horse power and ultra high pressure equipment Interclean uses in conjunction with specialised accessories.

Channel Cleaning, Grate and Cesspit Maintenance
Interclean has a range of plant and equipment for contract and one off cleans. We have developed efficient truck utilisation systems and a computer program to provide client reports. The data collected can provide the client with such things as volume of detritus material removed, condition of infrastructure and the frequency of cleaning required. Interclean has invested in a dewatering, screening and mixing plant to enable us to achieve the Auckland Region's strategy "Year 2000" compliance in waste minimisation.
