Drainage Maintenance

Survey of Metropolitan Catchments and Commercial Sites
Once manhole location is complete, sound equipment is used for pipeline locating. From this location, a general clean of the pipeline is instigated with the removal of debris as necessary. Finally the CCTV survey is undertaken and remedies sought. Interclean has several CCTV units available, colour and computerised with the ability to survey pipe lengths with our large tractor unit up to 450 meters in length. This unit is equipped with powerful lights for clear focus in 900mm pipes and twist & nod capability for 360° lateral viewing. Information in the form of computer disc and survey sheets showing general condition, pipe cracking, disjointing, damage, illegal connections and water infiltration will be provided to the client.

Cleaning Pipelines, Stormwater, Sewer & Leachate Lines
Typically this process will involve specialist drainage accessories for cleaning the pipe's surface of fat scale, dirt build-up and to remove debris and silt by back-flushing to the nearest manhole. For large quantities of debris, downstream flows may require to be restricted or controlled and vacuum units will then be used to load from the nearest manhole. This debris is then disposed of at an approved dumping site.

Water Jet Cleaning
Interclean has a range of units up to 200hp and 300 litres of water per minute performance. We have truck mounted silenced machines with fixed or mobile hydraulic hose reels for power flushing.

Root Removal
The introduced species of trees, tap roots and general root infestation in New Zealand has caused a major problem in our pipe line infrastructure. Interclean has developed a number of different methods to remove these obstructions and avert pipeline damage from extensive research overseas and training of in-house operators. We pride ourselves in this specialised area and provide to the client before and after CCTV surveys of the affected areas.

Grit Chamber, Soakhole, Cesspit and Catchpit Cleaning
Interclean provides efficient removal of silt build up in these areas. In some cases pits are up to 25 meters in depth with the necessity to use man entry breathing apparatus and other OSH approved equipment. Interclean uses sound proof enclosed equipment enabling work to continue in inner city and built up areas throughout the night. Our vacuum truck's capacity range from 5000L to 15,000L dependant on your requirements.
